DrivePrep NSW helps you practise the NSW Driver Knowledge Test and related knowledge tests. It is a supplementary study app, not an official Service NSW or Transport for NSW test.
What does DrivePrep NSW help with?
The app turns a large question bank into focused practice. You can choose a licence pathway, practise by category, answer questions with feedback, bookmark difficult questions, take a 45-question mock test, and review your progress.
Which NSW knowledge tests are supported?
| Pathway | DrivePrep coverage |
|---|---|
| Car | Car Driver Knowledge Test question practice |
| Rider | Rider Knowledge Test question practice |
| Rider SMV | Scooter and moped knowledge-test practice |
| Heavy Rigid | Heavy vehicle rigid question practice |
| Heavy Combination | Heavy vehicle combination question practice |
How should I use a practice app?
- Read the relevant NSW handbook and official question-bank material first.
- Use category practice to find the topics you need to strengthen.
- Use mock tests to check your readiness, then review incorrect answers.
- Keep returning to weak areas instead of relying on one pass result.
Is DrivePrep NSW official?
No. DrivePrep NSW is an independent study tool. Official rules, eligibility, fees, test arrangements, and current question-bank information come from NSW Government and Service NSW. The app does not guarantee a pass.
- Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) — what the car DKT is and how it fits into licensing.
- Road User Handbook and DKT practice tests — official handbook and practice-test guidance.
- NSW licence publications — official question banks for car, rider, Rider SMV, heavy rigid, and heavy combination tests.
